Reiner Regel is one of the few European saxophonists who possess a true “black sound”.  Numerous music and TV productions, as well as live performances with, among others Bill ramsey, Knut Kiesewetter and in Udo Lindenberger’s “Panikorchester” make him one of the German music scene’s most versatile artists.

The duo Böttger/Regel is guarantor for an inspired swing-evening.

Standing ovations for Böttger and Regel.  Reiner Regel seemed to merge with his instrument in order to create musical pictures.  He achieved an exciting wealth of nuances, which served all of the senses.

Extra applause for the vibrant solos from the saxophonist – dropped in, richly played-out, rhythmically well-controlled, small interjections or minute-long improvisations.  Gottfried Böttger skilfully but softly created a sound in the ensemble that supported the saxophone, but that he was always able to turn up full for his own breathtaking improvisations.
