Readings with Gert Haucke

“Mops, Moritz und Musik”
Gert Haucke reads from his book “Mops und Moritz”.

Berlin-born author, actor and radio announcer Gert Haucke has published many short stories, articles and books.  He worked as an actor and radio announcer, before he was discovered by film and TV.  He is probably best known for his most prominent role in the radio play “Papa, Charly hat gesagt…”  Also a keen animal lover, he is particularly fond of dogs.

Böttger sets Haucke’s dog-stories to jazz music.  A mixture that simply works.  Haucke and Böttger compliment each other marvellously. The version of “Ein Hund kam in die Küche” on the grand piano extending to blues and boogie were particularly masterful.  And so the public were far from sparing in applause.
Lübecker Nachrichten

A highly successful venture – Gert Haucke reads in his incomparable style from his book “Mops und Moritz“ accompanied in  grandiose fashion by Gottfried Böttger at the piano.  Quickly, all too quickly in fact, came the end of the show and many of the concert-goers, many in tears of laughter would gladly have heard more from these two artists.
