Ringelnatz, Du Morgenstern – Wahnsinnliche Lyrik und musikalischer Leichtsinn
Readings with Christian Quadflieg and pianists Jasmin and Gottfried Böttger
Come, listen, and be amazed!  A concert that could scarcely be more unusual: the masters of linguistic wit are presented during this evening.  Additionally, those composers, who have, in their own language of music created playful, light-hearted and parodistic works made their contribution.  Refreshingly humorous combinations, followed by sublimely thoughtful passages demonstrate that the dividing-line in life between tragedy and comedy remains blurred.
Christian Quadflieg, born 1945 in Sweden has made an outstanding name for himself as stage actor, as well as before the camera in both classical and modern roles including musicals.  He has won the favour of the public in numerous popular series and films: from literary films to productions such as “Tatort” (e.g. “Reife-Zeugnis” with Nastassja Kinski). He played the lead role in 40 episodes of the successful TV series “Der Landarzt”, directing additionally 16 of those.  On the stage, he maintains a commitment to poetry readings throughout Germany.
Jasmin Böttger completed her classical piano studies in Hamburg and Florence and gave her solo debut in Florida.  There followed concerts in Germany, the USA, Mexico and Spain.  Besides numerous radio and TV appearances, she has performed at many festivals of international renown.  She has also worked as musical accompanist for readings and radio broadcasts by such artists as Gert Westphal.  She gained her doctorate in language and literature.  Jasmin Böttger is piano teacher at the music college of Lübeck.  She is particularly interested in contemporary composers and their works.  Her favourite periods of the piano repertoire are the romantic and contemporary.
Together, they are recognised as one of the most interesting artistic married couples, proving that from two great opposites, a perfect whole can be made.
An evening of “higher nonsense”
A programme of sense in the opposite sense, right up to nonsense and folly.  The whole thing wittily packaged in polished word-play and literary finger exercises of popular and less popular authors.  Quadflieg and Böttger threw one another the artistic balls in this literary-musical duet to the great appreciation of the public.
